About the Name "Flyfaire" for Flyfaire Wines
The name "Flyfaire" comes from the name of the property which was verified by viewing the original maps. A previous owner, Mrs Phyllis Mary Fairburn, had named the property "Flyfaire", however we are unsure as to the origins of the this name and why Mrs Fairburn decided to call the property this. We believe the name is at least 100 years old or more based on the age of the maps that we have. We felt the name Flyfaire was the most fitting name for our wines due to the property that they are grown on.
