Monday 26th of October, 2015
Flyfaire Wines Cellar Door and Café announced today that it is a finalist in the "Tourism Wineries, Distilleries and Breweries" at the NSW Tourism Awards. The results (see full listing of results here) were announced on the 22nd of October, 2015 with the gala event to be held at Darling Habour in Sydney, NSW.
Now in their 26th year, the NSW Tourism Awards celebrate and acknowledge tourism businesses that have demonstrated outstanding achievement and success throughout the year. The Awards are a submission and inspection-based program and provide the opportunity to publicly recognise and showcase the State’s finest tourism operators.
The team at Flyfaire Wines believes the NSW Tourism Awards is a fantastic way to develop tourism in the Murray region, as well as for NSW. The awards also helps to recognise independent operators that are providing wonderful tourism experiences.
Flyfaire recently won the Gold Award at the Inland Tourism Awards in Broken Hill in July of this year. Being a finalist at the NSW Tourism Awards is the next step for Flyfaire, but the competition is stiff at the state level with three high class competitors in the running.
Bimbadgen Winery (runner-up in 2014), Hungerford Hill Wines and Margan Wines (last year's winner) are all bound to make the decision tough for the judges in the category Tourism Wineries, Distilleries and Breweries. The Greater Hume Shire Visitor Information Centre was also a finalist at the NSW Tourism Awards, which is in the same area as Flyfaire.
Flyfaire Wines is located in the Woomargama National Park and we are close to the regional centres of Holbrook, Albury/Wodonga, Canberra, and Wagga Wagga. We produce quality cool climate wines and provide a premium cellar door experience.
