Vintage 2014 - Blog Post
Vintage 2014 is in the vats as per our latest blog. The team at Flyfaire have some very interesting developments in the pipeline with the introduction of two new varieties to our existing product range in the coming years including the Marsanne and Carménère varieties. Here is exert from the post:
Closed for Annual Break as Flyfaire's Cellar Door turns One!
It was one year ago this past Queen's Birthday weekend that Flyfaire first opened its Cellar Door to 150 or so guests at our fabulous new venue. We were lucky to have the likes of Sussan Ley, Member of the Australian House of Representatives and our very own Hume Shire Mayor, Heather Wilton to welcome the guests and inaugurate the opening.
As we look back over the year, it has been full of wonderful surprises and has been better than we could ever have expected with the local community support being at the heart of making us a success. We would like to thank all of our regular guests who have supported us and made Flyfaire such a wonderful experience for everyone involved.
Slow Cooked Warmers
With autumn and eventually winter upon us, we are reminded of chilly evenings, fires crackling and warm hearty meals that satisfy. Flyfaire will feature over the colder months slow cooked, hearty winter warming foods such as free range chicken cooked in a Merlot sauce or boeuf ('beef') bourguignon.
Starting in 2014, every year from the first Saturday in May onwards, come and enjoy the colder months with delicious slowed cooked meals from our famous ESSE combustion stove.
